Lunch with The Huangs'

The Legend of Mi Yue told the story of a young princess named Mi Yue from the Kingdom of Chu, and how she became the Empress Dowager of the Kingdom of Qin during the Warring States period. Her grandson, Qin Shi Huang united the warring states and started the first Imperial Dynasty. (Qin Dynasty)

Before marrying the King of Qin, Mi Yue had a childhood sweetheart name Huang Xie who was an important statesman for the Kingdom of Chu.

The Huang Family who were descendants of this Huang Xie, hosted a Suzhou lunch on Mother's Day for our group.

How we came to know this family is a story for another time.
